I have been asked what I drink for an intra workout. I originally shot a video of this, but my wife (who was holding the camera) had a coughing fit during it about 3 minutes in and we had to reshoot because of where it cut off and then she had another coughing fit during the second shoot. So that put the kabosh on that and i just said screw it and went to the gym. So Ill just list what i like to take if you guys were interested. I lift in the early morning so i make this
a) Protein Shake which is one scoop vanilla coconut cold filtrated , and one scoop Protein Coffee (mixed together freaking delicious) and about 5 grams of ground flaxseed (lowers LDL, Trigs, and slightly raises HDL)...I take my morning health supplements (thats a later post) and down this shake.
b) Then i put the following in a tupperware bowl (im really fast at it now)
1) EAA Plus 10 grams (peach mango flavor)
2) instantized Leucine 5 grams (I like extra Leucine personally)
3) Red BeetRoot Powder 10 grams, most likely well over 10 grams because I put alot in (Insane Vasodilator)
4) Matt Porters Muscle Intrusion 1 scoop (lemon ice flavor)
5) Greens powder 5 grams (cant even taste it in this shake)
6) Taurine 3 grams (anti cramping and theorized HPTA protection)
7) Glutamine 5 grams (dont even bother I just use it for gut health and nothing else)
8) Citrulline Malate 10 grams, most likely more than that as I take a big scoop (Another Insane Vasodilator)
9) Hydrolyzed Beef Collagen 20 grams (for joint integrity and health)
10) White Button Mushroom Powder 3 grams (dont even bother, I just use it because I studied about some certain health properties and anti cancer research...i just have a bunch of it and ill just use it until it runs out)
11) Creatine Monohydrate 8 grams (no need to explain that one, the compound every viable study has been done on which works incredible but everyone tried to make money off of their own tweaked versions of it....the original compound is time tested and proven over and over again) (Continued below in comments)
So excited to announce that I will be putting out free workout guides very soon! Backstory: @theshopgym had a preworkout sample of “Guns of Steel,” a “Hot Action Pre-Training Liquid” made with caffeine and arginine. Now, this was not your normal preworkout. This was designed to be RUBBED ON to your arms prior to training to enhance #thepump . After rigorous academic research (I.e., trying it) I can confidently report back that rubbing caffeine on your elbows does, in fact, not work. However, did not try it on my dick. Someone (else) should test that and report back... for science. And without pictures. Or at least without pictures being sent to me. #supplementsthatwork #hotaction #crazyeyes

Tag a Friend Who Chases the Pump!
⠀
You go to the gym and do an arm workout and afterwards your arms look like they’ve doubled in size! This is great, but a little while later your muscles deflate and go back to what they were looking like before you went to the gym. This phenomenon many people are familiar with is known as the “pump”. But what is the “pump”?
⠀
The “pump” is actually what we call “transient hypertrophy” (transient=temporary, hypertrophy=muscle size increase). Transient hypertrophy (“pump”) occurs because fluid accumulates in the interstitial spaces of the muscle that comes from the blood plasma which is known as edema. You can also kind of think of it as inflammation.
⠀
I’ve seen a lot of Instagram posts about people chasing the pump and not focusing on progressive overload. Focusing more on progressive overload is definitely the way to go if you’re looking to increase muscle size long term. With progressive overload you will definitely still get a pump. If you only go for the pump, it’s not wrong to say you will gain some muscle size, although there is more research needed. By chasing the pump your gains will severely limited because you won’t benefit from progressive overload.
⠀
I hope this helped you out and know what “the pump” means!
