When you become more conscious of what you’re wasting, it is a bizarre thought that you could ever have just thrown something ‘away’ - like many plastic toothbrushes.
.
This bamboo toothbrush from @savesomegreen is one of the more affordable eco friendly toothbrushes I’ve found, and you can buy multiple to get a discount.
.
Toothpaste tabs are also great - you just chew one tab and it turns into a paste. I got these on our visit to @zerogreenbristol and keep them in a reused jar, but if you can’t find them locally they’re also available on the @anythingbutplastic website!
.
For those new to bamboo toothbrushes, the bristles (unless made of animal hair) are not biodegradable. Be cautious, even of those that claim to be a special nylon that breaks down. It’s best to remove them with tweezers before composting, or find another purpose for the brush such as washing things like dishes and bottles.
So inspired by this amazing mother, dancer, builder, lifelong learner @vagabondprincess23! A year ago her pelvis was broken when the unbolted wall of a Pilates studio unexpectedly fell on her & on several students. Since then she has been learning, growing, carefully working & gracefully sharing her progress here on Instagram. I daresay she may be stronger in body & mind as a result of this traumatic experience. Though I would never wish that experience on anyone, least of all a dancer & new mom, watching her grow and learn as a result has been inspiring to watch. And - after only a year - she is dancing again! Check out her stories and her feed if you need a jolt of inspiration! And thank you Sam for inspiring #dancefirst365! Your videos are helping people. ❤️❤️❤️ #Repost @vagabondprincess23

Since injuries seems my pelvis now works like a barometer. I feel when rain or snow is coming Days like these the best I can do is work through controlled articular rotations through the hips, and some bonus shoulder/scap rotations for good measure. To get things working nice. Ease through slow mindful movement before I consider anything else. Like oil for the joints. I think this type of work has been keystone to my recovery. Have you moved your joints today? #rehab #hipsdontlie #therippleeffect #shoulderhealth #CARs #FRCms #capsule #jointhealth
Centre your thoughts to be in the present, set aside all things that clutter your mind. Practise meditation to heighten your focus, be present and increase your attention span.

So I spent about an hour and a half creating this image using PowerPoint for my latest blog (see my website). I wasn’t planning to get quite so detailed but it was a case of, once you start I guess you have to finish.
.
It’s an illustration of the ripple effect and how it works. When you be kind to someone, that person is usually kind or kinder to more people. An estimate, given the typical interactions we have through the day, is 5. These 5 people are one degree of separation from the first act of kindness.
.
Each of those 5 will again most likely be kind or kinder to 5 more people, so we have 25 people, now at 2 degrees of separation, benefitting from your kindness.
.
Then each of those 25 will likely be kind or kinder to 5 more people each, taking the number of people affected by your single act of kindness to 125, at 3 degrees of separation.
.
I’ve described this is a previous post, but I thought it would be easier to follow with a more illustrative image.
.
For me, being kind isn’t so much about doing random acts of kindness. Instead, it’s about letting Kindness be the WAY that you do the everyday things that you do. Be kind in how you speak to people, how you treat people. And be kind to animals. Let Kindness be the way you do the things that you do.
.
Have a great day!

✨Everything we do, say, and think creates energy. That energy ripples out from you, everywhere you go, and touches more than you may think. That is why we must be conscious of our energy and try to focus on the light. Find beauty in everything around you. Be here now, be present, be grateful, be considerate. Keep your vibrations positive and you will feel those good vibes right back at you. ✨

Wherever my family and I travel to, we try and dedicate time for a beach clean up, on every beach we visit during our vacation. Sometimes along the way, you meet amazing people that get inspired by watching us doing the work (especially when they see my sons do it). In this case, we met this beautiful soul, a thirteen year old Italian girl named Chiara and her mother Stefania. We met them at a beach one day and then met up again at another beach a few days after. They ended up helping us clean a magical place in Maddalena, Sardegna, which was polluted with many plastics and debris. Days later I got a message from her mother that Chiara had begun doing clean ups on her own and sent me a photo of her, hard at work (see last photo). That photo melted my heart because all it takes is will and inspiration to create waves of hope that trickle down to others. I’m sure Chiara will end up inspiring others and so on, & the wave of hope will continue. I’m so proud of my kids and Chiara!!!! Great job and keep it up!! I do believe our kids will lead the way

My son Leone was determined to clean up and started doing it on his own, then Chiara joined. His gloves were too big for him but he didn’t care he was so persistent. Many Italians were shocked that a 5 year old was cleaning a beach they were enjoying. Scroll to see him in action! He’s also very adamant that one must pick up even the tiny micro plastics. He’s definitely one of my hereos
