Our little spot by the lake. These sunsets never get old. This weekend we had a lovely BBQ to say goodbye to an RV neighbor that’s been at this park for 5 years. It was a treat to get to meet and learn about some of our neighbors and spend a gorgeous summer evening together. I made my moms famous Caesar salad and everyone brought food to share. As I was going through my pictures and seeing what I captured that was “good enough” for my feed, I caught myself criticizing my pictures. For what? Not everything is picture perfect as Instagram makes it look like. These pictures are of my daughter having the time of her life playing in the rain with her daddy. Lighting is terrible since the sun was setting, I had to zoom since I was under the porch which makes it look grainy. But who cares?! This is real life, this is my real life and I love everything about it even if the pictures aren’t perfect. Not going to lie it has been hard after travelling for so long to have this guy head back to the work, the kids have noticed it too and are finding it difficult to say bye to Dad each morning. I interrupt your regularly scheduled program to bring you a photo of us...in Cancun...living our best lives. Why you ask? Because it’s February and I’m cold and I’m sick of being cold. I need the sunshine, sand, and surf in my life. My bones are literally frozen to the core. Poor Shiloh. Every time we lay in bed or on the couch my freezing little toes go right to his back, belly, or between his legs! Who else is guilty of this type of torture to their spouse? It’s not often that my boys let me take photos of them anymore. They are in that stage where they are too cool or it’s because I embarrass them by posting. Whatever. They are about to get even more embarrassed! To my sons Ayden, Azariah, Issiah, and Judah. I love you more than words could ever explain. You are my life. The air that I breathe. The reason for my existence. You fill my days with love and laughter (laundry, dishes, chauffeuring, cooking, shopping, cleaning) and so much more. You keep this mama busy. You make me proud. You continue to surprise me with every new accomplishment. You are ambitious, smart, and such caring kids. I know you all think I’m this big emotional ball of baby tears but I just get so overwhelmed with how much I love you. I promise to always believe in you, protect you, love you, and be there for you.
