April 1st, 2018 ~ A day that will always be engraved in my heart. We got a call Easter morning that all 3 of our babies were ready to come home! Looking back this was probably the most emotional day of my entire life. I was relieved our babies were healthy. Excited they had hit all their milestones enabling them to come home. Overwhelmed we were about to have 3 tiny new babies at home and no longer having nurses helping us out. Nervous we just went from 2 kids to 5 kids in the blink of an eye. Scared I wouldn’t be capable. Sad to say goodbye to our loving doctors and nurses we had grown to love over our 4 week hospital stay. Proud we had already made it this far. But most of all- true happiness. It’s been one hell of a year to say the least. From severe sleep deprivation to overwhelming moments of 5 children needing me at the same time to the most deeply happy and joyous moments I have ever experienced. And all I can say is how thankful I’ve become Swipe to see some of our very first moments of bringing our triplets home ✨ And thank you to all of our friends, family, neighbors, and even total strangers for the outpouring of love and support this past year ❤️

Well I feel absolutely exhausted tonight roll on bedtime I’m hoping they will go down at a normal time with the clock change I’ve managed to get their routine back on track today thankfully! Sullivan was a stroppy sod after nursery (standard) so I think that wiped out my last bit of energy and patience haha you will mostly find me vegged out on the sofa after I’ve put the energy stealers to bed x

One more share from the girlies first birthday party! Have you guys heard of a fiver party? We asked our guests instead of bringing a gift, to bring no more than $5 to pool towards a bigger gift. Swipe ➡️ to see the joint gift we were able to buy the girls! I absolutely loved how the fiver party worked out, especially at this age when toys can pile up, and honestly birthday parties can become a financial burden (we have 3 parties to attend in the next 2 weekends, I get it!) I didn’t want anyone to feel the need to spend much to join us at the party, and I’ve always felt a little self conscious that people will feel obligated to bring 3 gifts to our parties, and will dread getting an invite! We did receive a few adorable outfits, books, and only one toy that the girls absolutely love (rather than 30 to overwhelm them!) I can’t believe these monkeys are going to be 4 years old in just three months time. I can’t say I’m too about it, I’m really just and about it. They are just so sweet and they get funnier, sillier and cleverer every day. What great adventures we have ahead of us.

Yesterday we celebrated our babies being home for 1 year ✨ Being that I wasn’t a first time mom I knew how fast the first year goes. But sadly I feel like their first year went faster than it did with our boys. Maybe because we were 3 times busier but I think any parent with Multiples always has a little guilt knowing the individual time and attention isn’t as abundant and you just have to do your best every single day to split up your time. I wish I had more arms, more time, and more energy but I know I’m trying my best each day. I just remain thankful I’ve got all these cheeks to squeeze . . . . .
