Today for #marchmeetthemaker the topic is photography. All of the product shots you see on my feed and on the website are taken by myself or my hubby Ben, typically with a Canon 5D Mark II. There’s this lovely field by his parents’ house that looks so golden and gorgeous in the Fall and is always my go to backdrop when it’s in season. I do get in a bad habit of only taking photos for Instagram with my iPhone because it’s easier, but I’m trying to break that habit and use my camera more. ⠀ But I thought today I’d share something more than just product shots. My favorite thing to attempt to capture (and scroll endlessly looking at) is nature, especially the mountains that surround our home in Upstate SC and Western NC (we are right near the border.) These mountains are my escape and are a huge source of inspiration. I don’t have the best lens for capturing landscape, but I still love it anyway. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to photograph my pieces in the mountains and everything will come full circle. Who is your favorite landscape photographer?
