.
If you ever plan to visit tuscany don’t miss the vine hamlet of Bolgheri, there you‘ll find this avenue . Do you know the region and have any advice for „must see“ stops?

A night in Val d’Orcia is just what the doctor ordered , staying at the lovely @agriturismoilmacchione, a few minutes drive from lovely Pienza. It was great to enjoy old foodie finds from last year’s trip (Piccola Trattoria Guastini and their amazing panna cotta plus the cheese and everything else at @podereilcasale) and discovered some new favorites: @banditatuscany oh those fried artichokes and the uber-cool @idylliumbar. But of course what’s really magic for this girl is having almost no plan in hand. We explored the Etruscan/Roman natural hot springs with an ethereally-bewitching “Secret Garden” exhibit by artist @davidedallosso_scultore in the central basin (thanks @liviahengel) and wandered the lovely hilltop towns of Pienza and Montepulciano before heading back to #yourflorence. I wish I could do this every weekend!
Ready for the most exciting event this Spring? Here’s the moment when the colombina (metallic dove) travels along a wire and ignites the brindellone (cart) as part of the magnificent “Scoppio del Carro” or Explosion of the Cart, a treasured Florentine tradition every Easter Sunday in piazza del Duomo in #YourFlorence. The origins date from the exploits of the Florentines during the crusades and triumphant return in 1101 and have been impressing locals and foreigners alike ever since. Thank you @wakeuptotheduomo for allowing us this magnificent view!
