I used two of my newest crafty purchases- the Gerbera Daisy background from @simonsaysstamp and the wood frames from @heroarts. I coloured the image with my #twinklingh2o paints - it’s sooo shimmery! Happy Friyay friends! Life just got a little busy so now I’m playing catch up with #thedailymarker30day. This is my colouring for Day 12. I decided to play along with the current #cascoloursandsketches challenge. I love how they often have such unusual sketches! When I saw this week’s sketch, I immediately thought of my @heroarts stamp sets. Back in the day, I collected a few Pocket O’ Posies sets – a trio of flower stamps in a little box. I LOVED them and thought they’d be perfect for this sketch. To be honest, I’m not sure about this card now that I have completed it. I feel like I should tweak something..... I added the @simonsaysstamp butterflies, but still feel I need to do something else, but not sure what. So instead I shall walk away and look at it again tomorrow! Have a lovely weekend! Hello friends! It’s been a while since I shared a card as my mojo disappeared along with our summer weather! Luckily, when I saw the colour combo for the latest #thepaperplayers challenge (purple, yellow and green), inspiration struck, FINALLY! I used a die and stamp from @memoryboxco and an embossing folder from @teamspellbinders. And look! I used a button too! I actually wanted to play along with the @memoryboxco challenge which has the theme of buttons, so when I saw the centres of the flowers, I thought a few buttons would tie in quite nicely. Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! I’m excited that today marks the first day of another #thedailymarker30day challenge hosted by @kathyrac My mojo has been AWOL recently, so I’m hoping this challenge give me the inspiration I need. I love playing along and I’m hoping to colour something every day during this challenge. Let’s see how that goes! Last time, I set myself my own sub-challenge – to only use wood-mounted rubber stamps for my colouring! I recently went through my old cards and @heroarts stamps for the Hero Arts’ 45th anniversary Show & Tell. It made me want to reach for my wood-mounted stamps again. So, I’m aiming to use them most days during this challenge, but in the second half, I plan to focus on Christmas in July and will be using Christmas stamps. Pretty excited about that actually! I’m ready to play with my festive stamps again! So with that in mind, here is my card/colouring for Day 1 using a fabulous background stamp by @heroarts, made in 2007. How can that be 12 years ago? I can finally share this #handpainted #phonecase I created for my mom, I gave it to her last night. There are 3 different inserts (swipe left to see them) so she can change it up if she gets bored! To create..... I used a Goospery clear jelly case, Oddball Digi stamps # 375, # 421 & the elephant from # 365 I created a template for the s8 plus case and cut it out using the #silhouettecameo and finally painted them in #TWINKLINGH2O #watercolors and finishing off with some gorgeous glitter! First one from Johanna Basford’s new book World of Flowers done with Castle Art pencils. Can’t make up my mind about these pencils at all. Lots of colours, very good at laying colour on top of an already quite saturated paper but goodness did my fingers hurt after an evening colouring. Happy Friyay friends! I've had the most frustrating day doing what I thought would be a reasonably quick DIY project. It wasn't. Oh well, at least nothing was broken (except maybe my spirit! ). So this evening I knew I had to do a bit of colouring to de-stress. It worked! I coloured the fabulous new @altenewllc delicate flower bed stamp and then used the @simonsaysstamp big hello die for some hidden die cutting! The embossed sentiment is actually from an @altenewllc / @simonsaysstamp Stamptember collaboration a few years ago.
