Time for some more #vintagecountryliving fun....these are two different primitive//rustic// homespun homes from the September 1986 issue of Country Living magazine (the month I turned 5!) I love the deep color, the variety of textiles, the fiber art equipment! I love the blue paint on wood in the first photo (a home in Texas) and the quilt on the wall in the Minnesota house.

I wanted to start showing you some of my favorite homes from my #vintagecountryliving magazine collection:: these are my very favorite magazines...I have some my mom kept, others I’ve scored at antique malls or estate sales. Something about them bring me such comfort—they remind me of my childhood, and are much more my aesthetic than the modern magazines current incarnation. :: anyhow, this home has inspired 2 new painting for me— which I didn’t realize til yesterday! The home of Udo and Evelyn Schulz near OKC. I love that this home is in Oklahoma! I wish this couple were still living and I could come visit! They are definitely kindred spirits I love all the colors, fireplaces and homey details...
