Look how smart Rachel’s husbands chair now looks. This chair belonged to his grandfather and is used daily in their home. Will is a teacher at Eton college and was sure he wanted a leather chair. The chair needed to have a robust fabric as it’s used daily by students, as Will hosts study sessions at home. However Rachel loves colour and texture so wanted to influence the fabric. We had a fabulous fabric meeting hashing out loads of ideas and we sampled loads so she could give Will lots of choice. But we didn’t sample leather as she knew she could find something they’d both love. And she did. They both loved the look and feel of Synergy wool in colour Intertwine, a beautiful forest green, with a forest green velvet piping. Rachel was determined to get velvet on the chair and she did. The wool is a soft handle wool blend fabric, featuring fibre dyed shades and sumptuous piece dyed solids. @camirafabrics has partnered with Just A Drop, @just_a_drop the international water aid charity, and for every metre of fabric sold, they make a donation to a specific project around the world, helping to provide clean and safe water to those in need.
