This pose is still very new to me as I only started practicing this transition from tripod headstand to lotus legs crow last month, and only once a week There are so many things I wanna practice but so little time. That’s why I try to self-practice whenever & wherever I can especially when my body is all warmed up.
My favourite Yin class starts 15 min earlier since April & I now have 30 min free time before my next class. My hips are nicely opened up after the Yin, hence I decided not to waste it & spend 15-20 min practicing hips-centric poses while waiting.
In the video, I didn’t doze off while in lotus legs tripod, in case u were wondering why there was such a long pause I was trying to get the lightness before I lifted my head up. Lol. My arms were really tired in the 2nd lift to a normal crow, I added that bit in on a whim as I usually don’t do that. Glad that I didn’t face plant. I was quietly screaming “Omg! Omg!” while holding the 2nd crow. Lol.
Hopefully with more practice, my transition will be smoother, my hold will be steadier, longer & perhaps straight arms one day I really need to improve on my endurance. My muscles gets tired very quickly though I recover quickly too. A 2-3 min rest & a nibble of dark chocolate will usually do the trick

I only realised that I hadn’t been practicing this flow for 6 months Time really flies I wish I could say pincha kick-over is like riding a bicycle. It is not! Apparently, my muscles memory isn’t very good Took 3 attempts before I got this one-take kick-over. The other 2 attempts, I had to kick 2-3 times before I could successfully kick over to the other side. It is not called yoga practice for nothing. One really has to keep up with a consistent practice (writing this to remind myself ).
Some progress with dropping back to wheel & standing back up. My drop back is lighter now, some days I can actually place my finger tips on the mat but not in this video. And only very recently I can stand back up from wheel without using momentum
▫️
I also included 2 old videos:
6 Aug 2018 - my first drop back to wheel.
25 Aug 2018 - first time I could stand back up from wheel.
You can see in my old videos how happy & excited I was I am clearly not one who can contain my excitement. Lol.
I recorded this funny origami legs headstand video last month but never shared it. It’s inspired by @livinleggings. It’s kinda confusing at first, but after a few repetitions, the legs somehow went into an auto-pilot mode. Video has been sped up.
Today’s question: “Which of these defines your diet more - Eating a lot of healthy food vs a little from everything?” Food is a complicated matter. I live to eat but I have developed quite a few food allergies & sensitivities. I have a chronic skin disease known as rosacea that requires proper care & control of diet in order for it to go into remission. Otherwise it will lead to disfigurement. No matter how ordinary one looks, no one wants to be disfigured. I’m not vegetarian nor vegan but my diet has always been skewed towards plant-based & fish since very young. I eat everything in moderation except those I’m allergic & sensitive to.
P/S: this challenge is revealing a lot about me, I’m starting to feel kinda exposed & awkward #BalanceitOutYogi
