A tawny mining bee, Andrena fulva (I think!). Finally got out for a few hours with the camera and came across these cute bees bumbling around the ground - the first time I've seen mining bees!

These mining bees are solitary but they'll often nest nearby other individuals, so there may be lots of them around. The females will fill their underground nests with food, providing her eggs with all the food they need to develop. I only managed to spot one nest entrance, but they're just little mounds of dirt with a hole in the middle.
