•3 STEPS FOR FASTER TRANSITIONS• • • I had about 20 minutes to hit the range today so I focused on transitions specifically. 1. Be intentional. I purposed to SEE everything and drive the movement. 2. Push the speed. Find the failure point. 3. Add more to it. Work to maintain the speed and accuracy while adding tasks. • • What it all boils down to is looking where you want to go and driving the gun there as fast as possible. The quicker you push it there, the more time you have to confirm your visual cues and pull the trigger. Then all you have to do is speed up you VISION! . Shooting a Texas Star shouldn’t intimidate you! . . The biggest thing to remember is that you want to let gravity work in your favor. Shoot the top plates first and try to predict the pattern BEFORE you start shooting. If you get out of sequence go back to whatever plate is at the top. At the end of the day it’s not any different than any other target. Simply get the sights on the plate and break a good shot. The problems arise when we get amped up and start slinging rounds at it instead of settling down and shooting what the sights tell us to shoot. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions! .
