I highly doubt that I'll ever be as happy with a photo of the two of us as I am with this one!! Big shout out to my now Husband! @nathan__lord who was determined to sculpt a shark out of leftover polystyrene from work. I wasn't sure it was possible, I was getting tired of hearing about it! So I told him in no uncertain terms to crack on, or shut up about it! After all I was busy designing invites, embroidering my wedding dress and recycling our takeaway pizza boxes into jelly fish; obviously! A few weekends later and it had been paper mâché'd so we took a trip to Leylands with a colour palette in hand and bought the paints that would complete our set design! We then had a LOT of fun cutting and painting these big bits of scenery using leftover cardboard from Nathan's work (the fancy art board they use and also artworks often arrive packaged in massive sheets of cardboard) We've both always had a thing for cardboard; 'Science of sleep' anyone? Talking of films the inspiration that we built all the elements of our wedding around is Wes Anderson's 'Life Aquatic' meets the 'Enchantment Under the Sea' dance from Back to the Future! It felt pretty dreamy in the end so we are both super happy! Now I've got the post wedding blues that it's all over! I’m dying to tell you about all the brilliant small businesses who helped make out wedding day awesome! Firstly the awesome power couple that is @tubofjelly who took our photos and have already sent through these previews, swipe for more! The incredibly calm and lovely Katie who got me looking my best ever! Thanks @hairandmakeup_bykatie ‍♀️Plus @bruna_viola at @notanothersalon who pumped up the volume on my colour! ‍ Fi Graham @figrahammillinery made the bespoke bow for my head which was so comfortable to wear that I forgot it was there! @lordandduplooy made our bespoke light boxes which I designed the lettering for with printing by @nutmegwallart The excellent tunes were provided by @foxandbraces our DJ And the brilliant space that we loved decorating is @kennedyandkennedy Finally the food was amazing and we can thank Warburtons Catering for that but the stunning cake pictured was by the very brilliant Alison of @ard_bakery The props and scenery were of course made by me and Nathan! With recycled @whogivesacraptp wrappings to make the jellyfish tentacles! I think I’ll have to do a couple of posts to talk through the bits that we made but is that something you’d like to see/hear about?
