hey y’all - just a reminder that you don’t need to take fancy fitness classes or hire a personal trainer to be fit. you don’t need collagen powder everyday to have healthy skin and hair. you’re not going to explode if you eat gluten or use half & half in your coffee. i love experimenting with new trends in the health and wellness world more than the average person - but with 1840592 new products hitting the market each day, don’t let it make you feel inadequate or any less healthy for not partaking. the things that will get ya the farthest don’t break the bank - sleep, water, fruits and vegetables, and freeing your mind and body from stress. ✌

look. i don’t think my stretch marks are beautiful. i don’t think they’re tiger stripes or natural tattoos. i don’t think my acne is beautiful. i don’t think the bags under my eyes are beautiful. i just think they’re human. and i don’t think i have to be beautiful all of the time in order to be accepted and loved and sucessful. i don’t think every small detail of my outer appearence needs to be translated into prettiness.

Hi, my name is Amy and I’m a recovering people pleaser. Key word— “RECOVERING” because it’s something I still struggle with as my goals grow. Then I started reading “Dare to Lead” by @brenebrown and it has been one of my favorite books.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Since that one time I spoke in front of 30,000 people in cowboy stadium, I’ve wanted to be a public speaker and write a book. There I said it. Makes me feel like I’m on a cleanse just saying it out loud. Now it’s your turn! I challenge each of you to start sharing your BIG DREAM with your friends or on social media. When we share it out loud, it becomes real. It also can be scary because we start worrying about what our mother-in-law may think, what our sister-in-law will say, what the mean girl in high school will say to her friends. I get it. I felt the same way. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But here is your homework for today from Brene Brown herself...⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Cut out a 1 inch by 1 inch square piece of paper. This piece of paper should be TINY. Then I want you to write down all of the people whose opinions matter to you on that little bitty piece of paper. I was able to fit 8 names on mine. You may need a microscope to read it, but I fit 8 names. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ These people will be called your “Square Squad”.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Then I want you to message each one of those people and say:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ “I’m getting clear on whose opinions matter to me. Thank you for being one of those people. I’m grateful that you care enough to be honest and real with me.”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ These people on your “Square Squad” are people who love you not DESPITE your vulnerability, big dreams, and imperfections but BECAUSE of them. These people on your list should NOT be “yes” people. They should be people who respect you enough to tell you what you need to hear and not just what you want to hear. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So now that we know whose opinions matter to us, we know NO ONE else’s opinions matter. Tom, Dick, and Harry from high school didn’t make this list so they don’t get a say so or a front row seat on my big dream. ⁣⁣ ⁣ Are you up for today’s challenge so we can start moving towards our big dream?!
