These are the plant foods richest in Omega-3 and the winner is flax seeds. I recommend ground for better absorption + Flax has so many health benefits so I recommend 2 tablespoons every day.

If you want to boost your Omega-3 you can supplement with an algal oil supplement (DHA & EPA) which is crazy high in Omega-3.

I wouldn’t recommend fish oil because it is highly polluted and is killing fish and our ocean. So flax it up I eat all of these 4 foods regularly and I encourage you to include at least flax seeds and walnuts because both are affordable and provide you with Omega-3

Basically, you can get short chain Omega-3s which come from plant sources like flax seed, walnuts, chia seds etc. Your body needs to convert these to the longer active forms EPA & DHA.

The problem is, humans are really bad at converting short chain Omega-3s to the active forms (only 3% conversion to DHA in men and up to 10% in women).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That means you need a lot of short chain Omega-3s to produce enough of the active form...which also means a lot of calories .
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the other hand you can get the long chain, ACTIVE Omega-3s from oily fish, Omega-3 eggs and algal oils (which are the original source of long chain Omega-3s in the food chain). That means they're vegan too.

Getting the long chain Omega-3s is much more efficient and beneficial from a health perspective.
