Todays #cocktail is a twist on the #amarettosour. This variation has a bit more proof with the addition of #whiskey. It’s a perfect combination of both sweet and sour with lots of layers of flavor. Cheers. - - Amaretto Sour 2.0 1 oz or 30ml #bourbon whiskey 1 oz or 30ml DISARONNO @disaronno_official 3/4 oz or 22ml lemon juice 1/2 oz or 15ml simple syrup 1/2 oz or 15ml egg white. - - Add all ingredients into a mixing tin and dry shake. Then add ice and shake for 20 seconds. Double Strain into a cocktail glass with ice. Garnish with an orange and cherry flag.

Today’s recipe was actually inspired by a cocktail I saw on @rondrinks . It was a boulevardier riff he made just before Negroi week. He used Amaretto and Campari together in his mix. I knew I needed to try that immediately. ——— From there I added some Rum. I used a White Rum. I think a Spiced Rum would work really well here also. I was out at the time though . I used some Strawberry Fennel Simple Syrup @royalroseme and the some fresh citrus juices to give the cocktail some sweet and sour flavors. ——— “Steve’s Boozy Kitchen” 1oz Amaretto 1/2oz White rum 1/2oz Campari 1/2oz Lime Juice 1/2oz Lemon Juice 1/2oz Strawberry Fennel Syrup @royalroseme Shake with ice. The main function of the egg white is to smooth the texture of the drink and bring an extra foam. When you add the egg white to your #cocktail it is better to shake it twice, first time with no ice (dry shake) and then with the ice (normal shake). Please remember to use the best quality free-range eggs for your cocktails.
