“I Don’t Understand...”⁣ ...how can one human knowingly take advantage of another? Know that they are hurting them. It goes beyond being selfish, it’s cruel. We all make mistakes. We are all human. If you acknowledge the hurt you’ve caused and sincerely apologize for what you’ve done to that person, it can help them heal. I try to be forgiving. I used to constantly forgive people for doing me wrong. Until. I broke. Slowly figuring out how to put my pieces back together has allowed me to grow as a person. Made me stronger. Yet, it always feels like there are pieces of me that are lost. Hopefully I will find them one day...⁣ —⁣ I don’t want people to ever feel sorry for me for the things that have happened. I want. No. I NEED support and love. Genuine care. Those are different than being felt sorry for. Being felt sorry for doesn’t help. It’s like splashing water on a piece of plastic wrap. Once you wipe the water away, it’s gone. I need something deeper. There’s a reason why I never share my story, but instead share the lessons I’ve learned from all my experiences. Yes, experiences. Plural. I hope that no one has to ever go through what I have in order to learn what I’ve learned, which is why I do these posts. Although the lessons may not be taken in the same since they are not first hand experiences for you (which is a good thing), at least you are made consciously aware of them. ⁣ —⁣ If you know you’ve hurt someone. Done them wrong. Apologize. BUT. Only if you are sincere...a fake apology is worse than no apology at all. ⁣ —⁣ I’m not the type of person that needs a bunch of “friends.” I’d rather have that one friend I can truly depend on and know that they only want the best for me. When you’ve become that to me, I’m the most loyal person you’ll know. I’ll be there for you no matter what time of day it is. Even if I’m going through dark things, I’ll put my stuff aside to be there for you. You become a piece of who I am.
