#tbt to one of the silliest projects I’ve ever undertaken: the Battle Fish Project! . . Behold: The Guppy Warrior, here pictured in Feathered Ticklesnicker Armor . . The guppy holds a rather special place in the annals of battle fish history, for they are one of the few fish who will only go to war if every attempt at keeping the peace has been exhausted. Even then, they will not give up their pacifistic endeavors. The feathered "Tickle-Snicker" armor pictured here was accidentally invented during the War of the Crayfish in the early 17th century. Any enemy unlucky enough to come into close range of one of these fighters would be tickled by his chinstrap feathers and consumed by a fit of giggles. This would cause an irreversible loss of fighting spirit, and the enemy would be disarmed between chuckles. When enough opponents had been neutralized in this way, both sides could sit down for some hot tea and biscuits, and begin to work their differences out in a more intelligent manner.
