Kindergarten went on a Texture Hunt today! We talked about different words to describe textures and learned how to create a rubbing. They were set loose for three minutes (in a controlled setting) to find four different textures in the art room! We then worked on creating layered texture plate rubbings to use in our city scape collage. The people who know me, know that I love this place. But the people who always hear me braggin on the fact that @btwhspva is the best high school in the land, might not understand why I feel this way about the place. After years of failing In my academics and in knowing myself, leaving CHISD to DISD with the plan to go to #dallascanacademy and finish there, The spirit of God allowed me to experience this magical place that was very comparable to #hogwartz. There wasn’t a need to try to fit anymore because it was a school full of black sheep and we all had a special gift that many of us are able to share with the world today. I use to tell people that “after everything that I’ve been through, I know imma change the world.” I didn’t really understand what I was saying at the time but a wise man told me that “changing the world doesn’t mean that the world is gonna know you, but if you’re changing your community, then you’re changing the world.” The school is my foundation in becoming the artist that I am today.
