#ASEAN is a well-connected community. Massive digital infrastructure in supporting the Internet and mobile connections gives the opportunity for our community to get closer beyond borders. According to aseanup.com, our region’s growth numbers are so impressive that it has made #SoutheastAsia one of the most potential markets for digital business expansion due to the rapid development of technological infrastructure and its massive internet users. These trends give our region advantages in supporting millions of StartUps in providing various services, from e-commerce to travel and from digital payment to ride-hailing. The growth has fostered six startups to gain its unicorn* status in a global market, which boosts the Southeast Asian internet sector to worth more than US$ 50 billion (B). Although still lacking behind other regions like the US ($966 B), EU ($ 1,330 B), and China ($142 B), ASEAN has potential to grow. *companies that have reached a valuation above 1 billion US$. #ourAIPAourASEAN #AIPA41stanniversary source: aseanup.com| ec.europa.eu| technode.com| usnews.com

I've been reading about Angkor Wat since high school and been dreaming of seeing it in the future, thinking that I'm gonna cry seeing its beauty (and the mere fact of seeing one of the biggest religious structures in the world). It was indeed really beautiful, so as the other temples at the Angkor Complex However, with the huge amount of day pass I paid to get into the complex, I felt sad that Angkor Wat and the other temples looked like they were neglected and in danger of being totally destroyed. - I don't know about you, but I think structures like these need to be really taken care of (but I heard before it was worse). The day I went there, it was reeeeeeally cramped by tourists and you can never monitor if these people go to restricted areas or destroying parts of the temple. I also did not enjoy going around literally bumping with other tourists. Perhaps they should assign more people securing the area? Perhaps they should limit the visitors everyday? I dunno. - Nonetheless, it is still worth paying a visit. I think it's becoming more normal that tourist destinations like these will always, always be filled with people. Bayon Temple was beautiful. Ta Phrom is close to being eaten by the jungle, and the others, I wasn't able to visit (yet!). - Oh, Angkor Wat is what appears on the Flag of Cambodia and it is the only country in the world featuring a monument, along with Afghanistan. It was initially meant to be constructed as a Hindu temple and eventually became a Buddhist temple (I am yet to see parts of it that are Hindu-ish and parts of it that are Buddhist). - There's more to Angkor Wat in Siem Reap. I really enjoyed my time there. And oh, the food, the massage, the Blue Pumpkin bakery (sobrang hilig ko kasi talaga sa tinapay, guys hahaha), and the nightlife! Siem Reap is naturally more chill than the capital city Phnom Penh, so if ever you'll go there, please take it slow and "smell the roses". - I edited my Cambodia vlog just now! Link's on my Instagram story. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel as well. Thanks, everyone! - #tlasia #visitseasia #asean #southeastasia #beautifulseasia #angkorwat #siemreap #cambodia

A visit to #Ubud in #Bali, Indonesia will not be complete without seeing the #GoaGajahTemple. This was discovered during the Dutch colonization by a group of archaeologists during the 1920s. It's really amazing to think how much of the underneath is still undiscovered! - This place is also known as the Elephant Temple (which was a little confusing to me because there are really no signs of elephants in the place), and this area, the entrance to the cave, is a popular spot to take photos. I've been watching tourists go inside and going out a few minutes later (so I guess there's only a little area inside, right?) I did not know because the claustrophobic in me is a little scared to go in haha - Most of my long-time followers would notice that I have this thing with maxi skirts and dresses. Aside from it's the most comfortable thing in the world and it looks better in photos (haha), it could get really useful and convenient especially when visiting temples and religious sites like this because they won't allow visitors wearing something that shows the legs. Moreover, women on their periods are also not allowed to go inside. Yea, they won't know but we just have to pay respect to their beliefs, right? - I've seen soooooo much temples around Southeast Asia and they never fail to amaze me! Stone temples in Cambodia and Indonesia were my favorites (though I'm yet to see Borobudur huhu I wanttt ) and the temples in Myanmar are so classy and golden! Now I'm excited to see the ones in Laos, soon! And oh, those temples in India and Southeast Asia are on my list also! - Where did I stay in Bali? The beautiful @villakoru ❤❤❤ - This time, comment down below your favorite temples around the world! Orrr perhaps you could share me good spots in Indonesia which are not in Bali! I've been eyeing Yogyakarta and Makassar! Where are you, my Indonesian followers? - P.S. My hair just looked so blue here, but it's black. - #VisitSEAsia #BeautifulSEAsia #asean #southeastasia #TLAsia #WonderfulIndonesia

"Why are you always going to museums? Sometimes you pay huge amounts of money just to go in. It's boring!" - This is exactly what one of my friends asked me (which btw caused me to unfriend her for good haha ugh considering that she went with me on several museum visits) when I told her I went around a small Philippine city for a particular small museum and when she found out I almost ran out of money in Japan just to pay the costly entrance fees in museums there. - I've traveled and been to museums before with the wrong people -- people who were only after taking photos, people who make fun and try to touch artifacts, and people who would ask me why some paintings deserve some spot in that museum. I mean, there's nothing wrong if those are their things. But I have a different purpose for going to museums -- something that most people don't understand or find boring, but that's me. I'm that kind of traveler. - Okay fine, this photo looked like I had a photoshoot inside a museum, but this was only after I went around, okay? But anyhoo, yea, museums are quiet and could be creepy at the same time (yes, there were museums where they had me at the CCTV running at dark hallways to go from one gallery to another HAHAHA), but it's my happy place. I like to feed my brain and make sense of the place I'm visiting. I wanna know if people also think the same way I do. I wanna bring home more stories apart from nice photos and good food (and yes, I already bored a lot of friends by telling them historical and museum shit haha but #sorrynotsorry). - I'm really excited to go to the Western part of the world because that's where the best museums are. I wanna see the cultural East-West divide through arts and history so bad! But first, lemme hustle 10x more than I'm doing right now to buy that plane ticket to the other side of the world. - Okay I think this is one of the reasons why sometimes my students zone out during my lectures. I can get too nerdy and sometimes I don't realize they're no longer getting what I'm saying. But I'm making sense, kids. It's just boring, but it has a lot of sense. - Comment down your museum recommendations for me!
