This one is inspired by the summertime neighborhood lemonade stands where kids try to raise money for a toy they want or a trip they hope to attend. Every now and again, though, a stand will offer other varieties of lemonades instead of just the standard fare. For this cocktail, there’s a strawberry infused pisco as the base since strawberries are well in season here. Fresh mint, a little Falernum, and ginger bitters are used to enhance it, and a fresh squeezed lemonade concoction tops it off. Flavors here are so simple but so delightful, and it’s a breeze to make. Here’s to the summer and all the things that make it great! Cheers!! __ Even a Kid Could Make It __ 2 ounces Pisco infused with strawberries @barsolpisco 5 drops of Wisecraft ginger bitters 2 ounces of Homemade lemonade 1 barspoon Falernum @maggiesfarmrum 3 sprigs of fresh mint Glass straw __ Place all ingredients, including strawberries into a shaker filled with ice (save enough mint for garnish). Shake well and double strain into a Collins glass with pebble ice. Garnish with mint and strawberry and enjoy!! __

This cocktail is, however, a product of patience. The infusion isn’t quickly done, but you’ll find it well worth the process. It creates layers of subtle flavors that make you savor each sip. First, the gin is from the Chemist @chemistspirits - big fans of what they are doing with their gin in Asheville. It’s flavorable enough to be enjoyed neat, but it’s mild enough to not overpower anything else in the drink. Then the wonderfully subtle flavor of jasmine is introduced through an infusion into the gin. If you’re in a pinch you could use a jasmine tea bag, but if you’re not, then go with a lot of confederate jasmine (the non toxic jasmine) steeped into your gin. It’s slightly sweetened with alfalfa honey syrup, which is a very mild honey variation. Then the club soda is from @qmixers and they make a very carbonated beverage with a very subtle saltiness that pairs so well with the honey syrup. Even in this modern era, the best things come to those who wait because waiting is worth it. Cheers! __ Willing To Wait __ 2 ounces Gin infused with confederate jasmine @chemistspirits 2/3 ounce Alfalfa honey syrup 3 dashes Angostura bitters Club Soda @qmixers __ In a mixing glass filled half way with ice, combine infused gin with bitters and syrup. Strain into a glass, add crushed ice, and top with the club soda. Stir and garnish with a jasmine blossom. Enjoy!! __
