You know what’s the biggest favour you can do to a mother, new or the not so new? When she is going hard on her child, avoid and I mean absolutely AVOID saying the following: . ‘Kion bache ko rula rahi ho’ ‘Kion isko zidd dila rahe ho’ ‘’Mat tang karo usaay’ ‘Kion har waqt dantti ho’ ‘Kuch nahi hota, humne bhi bache pale hain’ ‘Khane do ye, kuch nahi hota, har waqt mat toka karo ussay’ . And to the child; ‘Ao mai apko deta hon’ ‘Koi baat nahi , khalo beta kuch nahi hota, mama ko nahi pata’ ‘Ajao mere pas, mama gandi’ ‘Mai apne bache ko le k deta hon, mama ko choro’ And the list continues. You may not realise it, but this is the biggest damage you are doing to the child and mother, both! No matter how much you love that child, no dada nana, mamo chacha, khala phopo can love a child more then his/her own mother so please avoid being a trouble for the woman who is already bone tired after her child - physically and mentally! ‍♀️ . If she is being uncompromising with the child please know it’s for her child’s betterment and no one can decide what is better for the child more than the mother herself. Intruding her and trying to act all goody good with the baby is ruining him at many levels. Next time he will be even more stubborn knowing that he has a support hence he would consider it normal to say no or throw tantrums whenever a mother instructs something. . A mother can never and I repeat NEVER jeopardise her child's nurturing. She will never attempt to make the child stubborn, leave him crying endlessly or not tend to him. But she definitely does know what amount of strictness is necessary to keep her child on track. So all the good fellas around the house, please hold your horses while a mom is on her duty. Please let her deal with the kid her way and once she is done, you can show all the mohabbat to the child without demeaning the mother’s effort in front of the child. . . Please never forget that mother knows best. What has worked for you may not work for her child so let her decide and extend whatever little support you can. Remember, a mother is already fighting gazillions of battles in her head and heart for the child. -copied

Organic matter is usually the answer to garden soil problems. Mostly not enough, rarely too much. The pre-school kitchen garden soil is water repellant (hydrophobic), very dry and sandy and there are zero earth worms The girls school has a pupil-free day today, and they were happy to help out in their old pre-school garden (of course with the bribe of milkshakes afterwards) We showed some of the kids what the soil is doing, how when we add water, it just sits on top - for ages, and if there were plants in there they would not be able to get any water. To remedy this, we mixed in cow, sheep and chicken manures and compost, through the old soil. We also chopped and dug in the weeds. Then we did the test again.
