The Message behind this image The term “The new black” is an idiom when it comes to fashion aka the norm! So it means vegan is the new norm! I threw up the Fist which means solidarity against the oppressor .....CONTEXT (The message isn’t a question of is it the same, which is worst, it’s a question of WHAT DISEASED TOXIC MENTALITY Deemed oppression ok at all Ex. The first slave shackles were fashioned after animal restraints! What was once ok in people minds is now frowned upon but the mentality was NEVER FIXED so it will continue to pledge us all! After changing my lifestyle I was awaken and couldn’t help but to notice it’s a lot of (psychological similarities) when it comes to the way people treat and react to animal and human oppression EX. Blindness/cognitive dissonance, not wanting to see it happening looking away, saying you care but contributing to the problem, feeling offended or guilty when someone only point out truths, excuses,saying you don’t know enough about it when we are in the age of technology! A W A R E N E S S . Isn’t it crazy how anxiety and depression can just creep up on you out of no where... I had an amazing week last week! I was outgoing, happy, positive and even in stressful situations. My man was home all week and we did fun family stuff. Then last night at around 8pm I had got the kids to bed after a long day of barreling with my toddler. I sat down to just unwind and I got heavy, clammy and short of breath. I sat on the couch like a sack of bricks. I didn’t want to talk, I didn’t want to socialize, I didn’t want anything. I went to bed and told myself tomorrow is a new day it will be happy and positive and back to how I was feeling. I woke up at 5:30 with Levi and was just exhausted! I could barley keep my eyes open. I made a coffee and drank it in a matter of seconds. I stepped outside to get a breath of fresh air and hear the birds. I wanted to so badly feel “normal” but I didn’t. I still felt heavy with no motivation and just down. I can’t pin point a reason to be feeling like this at all. Trust me I’ve thought long and heard! I’ve realized that’s what my anxiety and depression does; it comes when I least expect it and for reasons I can’t even figure out. Lately I’ve been turning to writing when I feel off and sometimes I can get to the root of my feelings. Today I wrote about my feelings on the topic of Levi potentially being my last baby. However, that’s a topic for another time. I love how therapeutic writing and sharing my life with all of you has become for me. Honestly, I can’t put it into words, all that comes to mind is thank you. Thank you for reading and following along. Thank you for the daily encouragement and the support. This community has shown me so much and for that I am so grateful. As much as I’m feeling off today, I am going to take the rest of today on with my head held high! Happy angelversary to our first born son, Johnathan Edward. Three years ago today I sat on a hospital stretcher pushing and screaming in excruciating pain. I was delivering my baby boy at just 17 weeks, 1 day pregnant. • I remember this day vividly. The pain was an out of body experience. It was a pain my SOUL felt. • His little body was was so tiny and fragile, but he was *perfect* with all ten fingers and ten toes. I held him close and kissed his sweet face. He was way too small to survive. I hate that I never got the chance to rock him to sleep or bounce him til he laughed. My heart aches I couldn’t protect and nurture him. I’d have given *anything* to keep him safe so he could grow to be healthy, happy & strong. • ...I always wonder what it’d be like to have him running around the house. Would he have liked cars and trucks or bugs and animals? I know he is up in heaven bouncing on clouds and dancing with the angels now.☁️ • As I kissed his sweet face goodbye I whispered to him that I would spend my life honoring his and I’ll *never* break that promise. • 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage/loss. if you’re a mama in the midst of this - the pain is excrutiating. I’m so sorry, mama. I won’t say “Everything happens for a reason” or “At least you know you can get pregnant” bc I remember secretly hating it every time someone said things like that to me. Like, what could be a good reason for Johnathan not having the chance at life? AND yes I am thankful I can get pregnant but I wanted THAT pregnancy - THAT baby. • What I will say is this: Even though you’re going through some of the darkest days of your life, please know the storm doesn’t come without leaving a rainbow at the end. And it’s ok to cry, scream, and GRIEVE as long as you need. • I truly believe that my angel up in heaven is watching over us everyday and we will meet again one day. You don’t have to read what I’m going to write.... the world that we live in is messed up, no matter how many times we think we are going to save it we are not because we are focusing on the little problems like “a black man going to a store is he going to rob anything” or “a Hispanic is right next to me are they illegal or are they going to hurt me”. We as humans COULD have changed the world but we are focused on ourselves and our families when in reality we should think about other’s who may be getting hurt,raped,loosing food and water,etc. even if it’s kids who haven’t lived their life, we should die of natural causes not because of killing each other. So many have died because of us which makes the world a unsafe place to live in when in reality it shouldn’t be. If you think that people of color aren’t as equal then it’s better to keep that thought to yourself instead of hurting those of color, especially the officers who is suppose to protect us but in reality making the community worse by not paying attention to people of all color especially the white people ( not all) who are full of themselves that don’t get the same consequences, since people think that automatically the person of color obviously did the bad actions when it could have been the white person.Since that percent that can’t accept people of color, how would the world be if just whites lived in this country?
