• O F F W E G O • We’re into week two of adventures!! Tabs and I left Yorkshire yesterday afternoon for our journey down to Stansted ✈️ She travelled like a pro and everyone was so lovely and helpful on the train. We were adopted by a couple who seemed to be doing the same journey as us, so they helped me with our ‘stuff’ at the different connections (they fell completely in love with Tabitha) Today we’re off to France for a Mum & Baby retreat run by the amazing @andbreathepostnatal, @babyboltholes and @lajugie.co.uk. The whole experience has been very kindly gifted to us and I am SO excited! Happy to welcome the month of May - l love this month it always feels so full of promise .... The sun shines more, the mud dries up everywhere, the woods look and smell wonderful full of Bluebells and Wild Garlic, the Cuckoo has started his call and the sky is starting to fill up with Swallows - how many Swallows does it take to make a good Summer ? • A N D B R E A T H E • (AD) We are having the most incredible time here in France with @babyboltholes and @andbreathepostnatal at the stunning @lajugie.co.uk This morning we all went for a walk through the beautiful French countryside where #wisteriahysteria occurred (see Stories ), followed by a very nourishing lunch. This afternoon has been blissful - everyone going along at their own pace and the atmosphere is one of total zen. • P E A C E • (AD | Press Trip) Since having Tabs almost five months ago there’s not really been any opportunity for me to catch my breath and go: “oh my goodness! I baked and birthed another baby!” So last week’s adventure to France with @babyboltholes was well-needed and very much appreciated. Being in the company of such a lovely, down-to-earth group of creative women who understood where you were coming from with everything from motherhood to work, was wonderful. Having time to switch off, and just sit and gather your thoughts without constantly thinking “I need to reply to an email” or “I need to get the uniforms ready” was so special. Even those incredibly indulgent moments like handing Tabs over to the nanny so I could have a bath and read my book for half an hour left me feeling just a little bit more human; snippets of time to briefly step away from my role as ‘Mummy’, and be ‘Hannah’ once more. So thank you so much for having us @babyboltholes and @andbreathepostnatal @lajugie.co.uk is the most gorgeous, tranquil property and my favourite moments were those spent enjoying the peace, going at my own pace, and marvelling in my third born; something that seems like such a treat three children later. No YOU’VE watched too many episodes of Escape to the Chateau.. ➖ GIFT/PRESS TRIP | It’s our final day on the @andbreathepostnatal retreat with @babyboltholes and the sun is shining. The Manor at @lajugie.co.uk is so stunning and waking up to a view of the rolling countryside has certainly helped to press the reset button. We’re now off to do a pelvic floor fitness class (and hopefully I’ll get to squeeze in another chapter of my book!) before heading back to London this evening.
