Apart from the fact my arm is about to drop off with the weight of it, my new phone and I are getting along fine so far Here is my first post using it and I’m pretty impressed with the camera quality. I’m also happy to report that everyone else’s photos look so much better on this screen too so it’s gold stars all round Anyway, we went to see the Roman Baths by torchlight last night and it really is a lovely experience. The staff were wonderful too - so friendly and helpful. It was still quite light when I took this but by the time we left it was much darker and very atmospheric. Highly recommended! 800 miles on our rental car and it’s our last day driving around England

Comment the number of times you’ve visited Britain...is it 1? 2? 10? Or “Not yet!” Would love to see how many folk have visited our land of cobbles, ferrets and thatch! . We’ve had a brilliant amount of sun recently, so that means fancy-pants trips to a country home where I pretend to own the place and eat copious amounts of National Trust cake in the gardens. Mind you, if someone offered me this incredible thatched cottage with it's own private red phone box I could happily agree. How bloomin' perfect is this? This quaint (as our American chums would say) cottage is in lovely Wiltshire and is reflected beautifully in the River Wylye. . What a stunning place, surrounded by incredible history. Not far from here is the awe-inspiring Stonehenge. Construction started at that ancient place around 3,100BC with the massive sarsen stones from Marlborough, 20 miles away. The smaller bluestones came all the way from the Preseli Mountains of South Wales, a distance of almost 200 miles! How they did it is still up for debate, but I think some sort of hard cake substance was probably used as a way to slip the rocks into place. Hence the term "Rock Cake".
