We thought it was time to introduce ourselves to all of our new followers! We are Robert, Rebecca, Ava (15), and Colin (11). We are originally from America, but have been living in Oman for the last 3 years. For those of you that don’t know where Oman is, it’s not far from Dubai. We first fell in love with frankincense while still in America after I (Rebecca) struggled with digestive issues, along with skin rashes & allergies. We heard frankincense was beneficial for a variety of ailments and decided to give it a try. We were amazed with the results and I was able to stop taking 3 of my prescription medications. (NOTE- we are NOT medical doctors & do not claim to diagnose or treat illnesses, this is simply our personal story). Once we began doing research, we realized your skin is your largest organ and it rapidly absorbs what you put on it. Sadly, skincare is one of the least regulated industries & people apply a multitude of chemicals to their skin every day. After moving to the Land of Frankincense (Oman), we were thrilled to have access to the world’s best frankincense. We began experimenting with making our own products and started giving them away as gifts. We also realized we were surrounded by many other sacred ingredients like myrrh, roses, sea salt, various plants, honey.. the list goes on. We became passionate about non-toxic living & wanted to support other local businesses & farmers in ethical, sustainable ways. And...Sacra was born! We named Sacra after “boswellia sacra”, which is the Latin name for Omani frankincense. A large majority of our products contain this sacred ingredient and our soaps all have camel milk, also considered a sacred ingredient by the Bedouin people. Robert makes most of our products and handles everything behind the scenes. I help with branding, sales, social media, & packaging. In our free time we love exploring beautiful Oman. We love spending time with our Omani friends and learning more about Omani culture. Ava loves riding horses and Colin loves playing football and video games (like every other boy his age)... soo that's us! Tell us something about YOU!! We would love to get to know you!
