As a single mom of 2, business owner & artist I’m so crazy busy. Sure there’s tons of ideas I want to put into action and questions swirling around in my head about what the future will bring but to be totally honest I’m focused on the NOW - like right now. . Right now I’m living, loving, teaching, sharing, inspiring & growing. . WHY am I doing this?. . Focusing too much on your past affects your present, focusing too much on your future affects your present and can cause self doubt about what you’re doing right now. . HOW can you do this?. . I am HUGE on feeling. If something feels good it can definitely still be wrong but if it FEELS RIGHT - GIRL GO FOR IT! Just because no one else can see it or understand it doesn’t mean what you’re doing is wrong. . Life is so short, I know this because I almost lost mine. I haven’t always functioned this way or had these beliefs. Out of every situation HOPEFULLY comes growth and if you can grow from a situation despite how heartbreaking or life changing it may be for you at LEAST you have growth to take away from it. . A few weeks ago was our expansion party to celebrate the expanding of my salon @thebeautyloungexo ⚡️ as I enjoy one of my first days off for a few weeks where I don’t do any work at all and spend time with my family I just want to share how this photo makes me feel. This photo gives me hope. This photo brings me joy. Looking at this helps me know that we have come so far and that God truly carried us through the darkest times and into a place of peace. This place of peace helps me know that the future will be bright & stable and that I will be able to provide as a widow and single mom for my kids. I’m still healing mentally, physically and emotionally. My family and salon team mean the world to me and I am forever thankful for them. I am also very thankful for my clients, you all are like family to me. You make me feel important and help me so much even though you may leave thinking I helped you by doing your hair. You inspire me, make me laugh, make me feel special and loved. In 2 weeks it will be one year. As we get closer, I have been struggling emotionally and having flash backs but with God’s help I am able to set those thoughts aside and think happy thoughts instead such as these.. I am so grateful and blessed to be here today, to enjoy this beautiful day ☀️ to be able to breathe without struggle and to be able to see God’s beauty all around me. I am grateful for my rambunctious amazing kids who drive me nuts but also love me to the moon and back. Overall, I am just grateful for LIFE.
