One day, though it might
as well be someday,
You and I will rise up all the way
All because of what you are:

"The first album in David Bowie's BERLIN TRILOGY sees him as a tragic figure: the album's first side is a beautiful futurist ruin, littered with holes left purposely unfixed, while the blank, instrumental second side feels like a calculated attempt to kill the author." ~LAURA SNAPES-PITCHFORK
Bowie's 11th Studio album LOW was released on January 14 1977, rather like a birthday gift to Bowie and the world at large.
Always an object of debate.
Those in the know realise it's apothecaric value★
I will be discussing the album this week and your imput is welcome.

WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ?
Have a nice Thursday
Good afternoon, guys!
Hope you’re all having a lovely start to your week! It’s really sunny here, so I’ve been spending time out and about with my dog.
We’ve recently got a program of talks that’ll be going on in our city’s book festival this August, and I spent about an hour this morning looking through it to make notes of any talks I’d be interested in, and of course it didn’t take me long to find a quote from one of the talks that mentioned Bowie! (Swipe to see).⚡️
So that’s certainly been added to my list, but it’s a very extensive one so far, so I’ll have to choose wisely! Regardless of whether I go to that particular talk or not, I always feel the Bowie spirit when reading anyways, knowing that for him it was a state of ‘perfect happiness,’ and the broader the exploration the better.

"They were very supportive of each other and just having fun. And they were obviously experienced in some pretty weird stuff. I wasn't aware that were taking anything-but their minds were a little odd." ~PHIL PALMER~

"New Wave spruced up punk with mod's dandy aesthetic and a measure of glam rock's flamboyance, enabling a vast medley of crossover mingling. Like the David Bowie adored by postpunkers, it's musicians and it's fans were works of art in their own rights." ~PAUL HOCKENOS~
Talks about post punk, post glam, and post hard rock music around the world, but especially in Berlin and The U.K. in the late seventies to early eighties.
