(CONT.....) In main Gurudwara Nanak Matta Sahib, Dhoona Sahib and Bhora Sahib are situated which depicts the Spirituality Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. After Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Baba Al Mast Ji came here. Baba Al mast (means enthusiast) had been preaching Sikh religion at Nanak Matta. He was expelled from his shrine by the Jogis who had also burnt the sacred pipal tree under which Guru Nanak had held debate with the followers of Gorakh Nath. Enduring all hardships, Baba Al Mast Sahib waited until the Guru Har Gobind Singh Ji came to repair and take possession of Guru Nanak's temple. An Iron Cage was made especially to torture Guru Sahib. It was shorter than Guru Sahib's height and had sharp spikes pointing inwards so that Guru Sahib could neither stand upright nor lean against cage. Guru Sahib remained in the cage for 3 days. The Emperor's ministers tried their best to persuade him into accepting Islam but Guru Sahib remained firm. While in the cage on his way to Delhi Guru Tegh Bahadur composed the following two Shloks: Bal Chhutkio Bandhan Pare Kachhu Na Hoṯ Upaae Kaho Nanak Ab Ott Har Gaj Jio Hohu Sahaae. ((53)) ✨Bal Hoa Bandhan Chhute Sabh Kichh Hott Upaae. Nanak Sabh Kichh Tumrai Hath Mai Tum Hi Hott Sahaaee. ((54)) My strength is exhausted, and I am in bondage; I cannot do anything at all.
