Is anyone reading the Bible in a year? our church is going through it and I may be a tiny bit behind but I’m still going for it! This will finally be the year ! Heheh. And I’m loving tracking it in my Growth Book. Anyone else doing this with me? How’s your progress? I’d love to see what you’ve checked off !

I think I’m finally getting to that place in life where God has shown himself faithful too many times to not believe He won’t do it again. ⠀ ⠀ Time and time again coming through for me from everything to the minuscule to what feels like a huge deal. Miracle after miracle. ⠀ ⠀ This last time was with our electrical. Funny right? Does God really care that much about the electrical in my house? Yes. ⠀ ⠀ We have had a problem with it for like 6 months now and have been trying to save up to do whatever needs to get done and also equally pretending the problem didn’t exist because I’m afraid to hear the cost. ⠀ ⠀ We still don’t have the money. But this weekend we had some electrician cousins come over to finally bite the bullet and get this taken care of. This will make it electrician number 5 now that has come in and pretty much all said the same thing. $2,000 + ish.⠀ ⠀ And really I had determined in my head to just say “God will find a way” and you know what? After testing stuff for like 4 hours straight the problem was a loose wire....⠀ ⠀ A loose wire! That costs approximately $3.00 to fix. Three dollars...!!!!⠀ ⠀ Are you kidding God? ⠀ ⠀ My electric problem. The hot water in my shower. The delivery of my son. Healing my dads cancer. Random crazy blessings from God that seem so silly at times but are really important to remember so that my faith keeps building in believing for the impossible.

Yesterday was an answer to prayer in so many ways! I wish I could say I managed the unexpected plans and stress well but I ended up getting a headache. I cleared my mind by cleaning the house, reading my book, taking a bath and going to bed early. You need to know how to take care of yourself in the midst of stressful seasons otherwise it will get the best of you. Going into the middle of the work week trusting that God will faithfully see me to the end! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. And do not turn aside after empty things that cannot profit or deliver, for they are empty. For the Lord will not forsake his people, for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.” 1 Samuel 12:20-22

g e n e s i s 1:1 ; “ in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. “ _ To be here this morning was right. * crinkly pages and all thanks to the sweet baby boy* It’s what I have been missing. Thank you lord for your mercies new each morning! I’ve decided I’m going to read the Bible in a year again and here’s why. the word of God is our sword, we need to know it front to back and you can read this book cover to cover and still get something new each time because that’s how the Holy Spirit works! Excited to see what he reveals through this again! I challenge you to think about it. If it’s to overwhelming then just start somewhere. I don’t look at this as a “resolution” because I don’t like the stigma around the new year goals setting thing but just start somewhere friends! Lord be with us and may we shine your light in this world!

I heard on the radio that today is the day most people start falling off their goals. And I kinda believe it because man I want sugar and all things bread so bad! BUT...let’s stay strong haha (talking to myself here). So, I read up on a few ways to stay on track with your goals and here’s what I found. ⠀ ⠀ 1. Remember the WHY ⠀ 2. Be realistic ⠀ 3. Focus on the process ⠀ 4. Be accountable to someone⠀ 5. Be patient ⠀ ⠀ Sooo how are you guys doing on some of your goals? I wrote a lot of big “by faith” goals so some of mine are more to pray on than to “achieve” per say but of course I did add in the good ol get healthy ones. ⠀ ⠀ Let me know if you’re still on course with your goals!
