Hallelujah for the BUT GOD!⠀ •⠀ Can I be honest? I’ve said it before but I’m saying it again... because y’all!!⠀ •⠀ The struggle bus. I know, we aren’t posting the struggle bus on here much, but we feel like we are on it often. Don't we?⠀ •⠀ Even Paul had a thorn in the flesh, and our Lord cried out to the Father to take the cup if it were possible. ⠀ •⠀ So, even with our cute heels and glossy lips, (or my usual sweats and hat ) we have concerns. Or, what some of us have named, the ‘struggle bus.’ And that bus is ROCKY! But our God is steady.⠀ •⠀ He isn't waved by our circumstances. He’s unshakable! He’s Creator! He’s Lord! He’s Captain and so much more. Find that in Scripture.⠀ •⠀ It might feel like the bus is flying through the woods at an ungodly speed. Or, the engine is broken and it's barely moving... if that. (Oh the waiting)⠀ •⠀ BUT GOD! We are in loving nailed scarred hands! Those resurrected hands of Jesus aren’t shaking. Rest sister, rest!⠀ •⠀ #trippingtowardschrist

Looking at emotions can fail you, but beholding God never will!⠀ •⠀ When we start to feel distant from God, one of the main places we run to for evidence that we love Him is our emotions.⠀ •⠀ We start trying to do things to make us FEEL love for Him. That might be a slow song, sitting before our Bibles trying to conjure up love for Him, or other similar things.⠀ •⠀ The problem is that worshipping affections for God won’t help us with actually lovely Him more. It won’t make us become intimate with Him. It will only make us grow more discouraged.⠀ •⠀ Searching and beholding God, Himself is what will draw us closer to Him. Fixing our eyes on who He is and what He has done will produce in us the love that develops when seeing Someone so lovely as Him.⠀ •⠀ Sister, If your heart feels cold, stop focusing on your cold heart and lift your eyes to meet Jesus’. If you feel far from Him, seek Him with your whole heart and you will find Him! •⠀ #trippingtowardschrist

God is good, even when it hurts!⠀ •⠀ Trust His love, when the only thing you have to go by is His Word. He will not forsake His children and the trials are building your character. I know you want that thing, but you don’t see the poison in it.⠀ •⠀ We’ve all wanted God to allow us to have something. We believed it was His will even! •⠀ Yet, we were met with a closed door. The disappointment, confusion, and, frustration rises...maybe completely concealing the fact that God is All-Wise and full of love.⠀ •⠀ He withholds no good thing from us, therefore, no matter how wrong a closed door may feel, we have to ask for help to rest in the knowledge of His love, instead of our understanding.⠀ •⠀ The fruit in the garden of Eden seemed good to eat for Adam and Eve and...well, that was nothing but a lie.⠀ •⠀ Sis, let’s settle that we can’t trust our eyes. We must walk by faith! We can't trust our feelings, we must live under faith. Every ‘no,’ every, ‘wait,’ and every, ‘yes’ from our heavenly Father is safe. ⠀ •⠀ Lord, help us to trust You with all of our hearts, even if that means distrusting self!⠀ •⠀ #trippingtowardschrist

This one may sting! But, it’s true... ‍♀️!⠀ •⠀ We can become fooled by our own minds and find ourselves trying to use God for our own selfish pride. Any daughter of God can be tempted in this way!⠀ •⠀ Here's the good news, sis. There’s grace! We don’t have to stay that way.⠀ •⠀ Repentance is a sweet gift. God can help us realign both our heart and our actions FOR Christ’s sake!⠀ •⠀ Though confronting it may injure our pride for a moment, we can again find deeper joy within His agenda instead of our’s.⠀ •⠀ All we have to do is humbly ask. Let’s ask, “Your will be done!”⠀ •⠀ #trippingtowardschrist
