Doesn't this look peaceful? Well, the boats that travel around Inle Lake are incredibly noisy! It is not a quiet ride. But we got to see how people live literally on the lake, children go to school by boat, and fake fishermen dress up really nicely so you can take a photo of them doing acrobatics (because, in case you don't know, the real fishermen use a very special technique that requires a lot of balance and skill). So yes, we did find Inle Lake a little bit touristy, but still, the real part is interesting to see. Mandalay, Myanmar. Pagoda Hsinbyume Myatheindan Myanmar se caracteriza por una cantidad incontable de templos, pagodas y estupas. Por algo Myanmar se gano el titulo del pais de las pagodas. En nuestra experiencia, hemos visto un monton en pocos dias, conocimos las mas importantes de Yangon, Bagan y de Mandalay. Pero lo que mas no asombro es viajar (sea en bus o tren) y no dejar de ver edificaciones religiosas a lo largo de todo el camino incluidas zonas de campo y montaña. La Pagoda de esta foto se encuentra en las afueras de Mandalay, en el pueblo de Mingun. Fue construida hace 200 años (1816), un terremoto en el 1839 le causo serios daños pero en el 1874 fue restaurada. La arquitectura simula el Monte Meru, (una montaña mitologica budista considerada sagrada) y estan representadas las 7 cordilleras que rodean el Monte Meru con las 7 terrazas en forma de ola.
