Our survivor story pick of the day is D’lila and Jessie James Combs. Four months ago, #TheCombsTwins’ lives were forever changed, when their mother #KimPorter unexpectedly passed away. At age twelve, these two girls have shown an admirable strength, resilience, and perseverance in the midst of unimaginable pain. “Happy Birthday to the best mom and role model in the world. We want to be just like you when we grow up,” they shared. While pursuing their dream of being models and fashion designers, the twin sisters have discovered another passion of theirs. Then came an opportunity of a lifetime, to perform with #DianaRoss at her 75th birthday celebration, along with their sister Chance. This is 36 ✨ For the past 2 months I've been living in India, traveling and exploring this beautiful country that's given me more than I could ever image. I came to here to shake up my soul. I found myself 2 months into 35 so broken, depressed and numb. I was so disconnected from myself and couldn't pin point what tiggered me. All wanted to do was eat away my feelings and hide. Which I did packing on an additional 50lbs to my frame. But that dark place lead me to ask myself "what I really want in life?" "How I could find true inner peace?" I was just going through the motions and mering existing and I knew at my core God created me for much more. ✨ Now I could look back on last year and thank God for that dark season because I lead me here. Wanting more from life. Eager to expand the way I see the world but most importantly how I see myself. It's a cliché but I came to India to find myself. And honestly, I awaken to my authentic self and realized I was never lost. ✨ In this last year, I learned to embrace the season that I'm in. And stop wanting it to be summer when it's winter. Every season has a purpose. Learning to love the rain as much a the sunshine because without it we wouldn't have beautiful flowers to admire. You can't live for the approval of anyone else. Seek what brings peace into your life. Abundance is wanting for you. And once you get in alignment with the universe, it clears the path for you walk through like the Queen (or King) you are. You are enough. And anyone that tries to make you feel bad for the winters of your life, just send them love because they are internally suffering more than you. Every time she hit rock bottom in the next couple of years she only rose up out of the ashes of her burnt lifestyle like Phoenix ready to burn brighter than before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Learning and understanding why she wishes for death! It is not in the physical but for the death of old patterns, limiting beliefs, and pain. So she can rise up higher than before and soar in the air with the wind beneath her wings. Feeling free to fly even farther to see the world and share the love. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Love is what heals pain and so she made this her purpose in life. To learn how Mother Earth heals her habitants so she can spread the love only Pachamama knows how to give and accept the pain of life only the way Pachamama can. Transforming pain through death, burning down the hurt, and lifting up the vibration of love.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sometimes this is a very lonely path. One not easily walked and so she still sits and wonders when she shall fly side by side with a man who shares the same purpose. To realize love transcends the social connotations, that love is allowing the wings of our soul to take flight, fly free from being in a cage and defines their heart by the path of truth.
