#StoryOfMyHome Day 13 – This Space. Tis my home office & ONE SINGLE SPACE in the house I promised Mike I wouldn’t paint & would leave as was when we moved in. I don’t know why I even bothered w/ that promise as I knew NO SNOWBALL’S CHANCE IN HELL for survival of status quo. I did have fingers crossed @ time of false promise however as that’s key to not ending up in hell w/ all my other snowballs of which there are many. The question tho is why I can’t leave well enough alone & am compelled to layer & tweak & pile until PROPER AMOUNT OF SILLY EXTRAVAGANZA IS ACHIEVED but even that isn’t good enough as I guarantee what you see in this pic now won’t be there next time. ‍♀️ Which leads me to philosophical ponder about PSYCHOLOGY OF MAXIMALISM & why we maximalists overload our plates@ the potluck every ding dang time. For me SUPER DUPER EXTRA is MOST DELIGHTFUL AESTHETIC IN UNIVERSE & more important IT’S MY V SPECIAL BINKY as it’s essential for focused thought. As strange as it sounds I do my best & most laser-y thinking whilst in spaces saturated w/ big noise + even bigger clutter as no noise or even worse small noise + minimal or no clutter or EGADS small color is oppressive & will distract me to POINT OF ALMOST ITCHY SKIN + TOTAL FLUSTER. Go figure. Maybe someone out there has answers b/c I GOT NOTHIN. ‍♀️ In meantime, swipey for a couple pre-pink pics of my office whilst I was living in false promise status. I started writing a post for my .com blog last year re: the multiple stages of décor in this space & am thinking maybe should finish that.
