Would you believe that yesterday was my one year on Instagram birthday! I posted my first ever pic of our brand new home one whole year ago...what a years it’s been!!! . Last August We had just moved in and really I had no idea where I was going with my decor and I hadn’t even painted my first stripe! I started an Instagram mostly to follow and get inspiration. It inspired me then and still inspires me now! . When I look at other homes on Instagram I barely feel worthy of it all. I really cannot believe that so many people want to follow me, my small little cottage and my budget of zero. But please know how much I appreciate you all and how very very grateful I am! . My husband reckons if we get anymore plants we will have to issue visitors with a machete​ at the door.... I only started keeping plants about a year ago and it didn't take long for me to fall absolutely in love with them. It's funny but they are really important to me and are more like pets now... I spend ages every evening spritzing and watering and moving them around. I've some firm faves too (my giant fig tree, my Raven zz plant and my super long devil's ivy!) There was a time when my idea of a good weekend was a day shopping and drinking coffee followed by a serious night out and an even more serious hangover.... how things change because I’ve just had the best weekend and it was quite the opposite of that! Firstly I finally visited @carlowpainthub , which was fantastic, the lads could not have been nicer and I left with a load of new ideas (as if I needed anymore crazy ideas involving paint!). They have some very cool products and I left with some amazing gold paint that I can’t wait to try. I also got to meet @aproudhome which was the icing on the cake!
