Here is a close-up of my July To Do list - I think the colours I used in this were my favourite! The soft teals neutralised with a little purple felt so velvety to paint with I like to paint out little swatches of the colours i’m planning on using in my paintings - you can see one just to the right of the page. I find it helps me to minimise the colours I’m using and helps the painting have a much more cohesive colour scheme. In saying that, sometimes I do just go “I want ALL the colour!!!!!!” so I’m not always that thoughtful! . I lowkey made this calendar halfway through July bc I was being so unproductive I couldn't stand it anymore tbh my summer was supposed to be busy bc I wanted to pursue architecture and was gonna slave over a portfolio... but then at some point I changed my mind LOL (this girl has her heart set on music now ) so my summer is looking a little empty... but I have a lot more time for personal projects now!! coming soon

Process Videos Galore!! This time, last week’s spread is taking the spotlight and is a good example of saving a spread that went wrong! I had originally wanted to paint all the individual planets directly into the notebook, but when I was peeling off the blue masking fluid it tore a layer off the paper in some places! It didn’t tear a hole, but I would certainly have got bleed-through if i tried to paint there. Stickers to the rescue!! I cut out two of my stickers from @paperkumaco that I bought over a year ago, and created another big planet on watercolour paper to stick in. Voila, problem solved . When a spread doesn’t quite work out as you’d like, there is normally a way to bring it back, don’t be afraid to use stickers/tape!
