Nice night to be on the beach and see the Milky Way with the naked eye. You just need to drive about 2 hours south of New York for a view like this in Avalon NJ.

The wind has subsided so this morning I took a stroll in Ocean Beach. This subdivision reminds me of how the whole area looked when I was a child. I am completely nostalgic for rows of tiny cottages (some call them bungalows but in my family it was always cottage) all with clotheslines in the yard and jalousie windows. Here is a bit more on the history from the Ocean Beach Sales and Rentals website. “It was 1946, and what was then a desolate, brush-filled tract of land just north of Lavallette was purchased by Fred Pearl and his partner, Edward Patnaude—two laundry deliverymen... Their idea was to build beach houses for working-class families, those who could not afford to buy in affluent towns like Mantoloking and Bay Head. They began by building basic one- and two-bedroom cottages that cost $2,095 and were merely four walls and a roof with no paneling or insulation—even the hot water heater was optional”. Beautiful evening light shining through the Chapel's large west window. The stained glass windows in the Chapel were made by eight artists; one of the largest expanses of stained glass outside of Europe! . This was taken tonight. I missed out on the beautiful red colors from the sunset. Unfortunately for me, It was setting in the other direction. Which is something i new would happen. Lol. But I’m limited time and options.. And when I say limited with time, I grabbed my gear and ran out of work at 4:50. Drove 15 mins to a totally new random place. Frantically pulled my gear out, ran down the beach, and took literally two shots. And that’s pretty much all I had with sunlight. and this is what i got. I did a quick edit for ig, Whatcha think? or . Thanks to a few fellow photographers, I would’ve never known this was right here. It’s super close, I really liked it a lot. Even though I was here for only a half hour. I’ll be going back real soon for a sunrise :) . . If anyone has long exposure questions feel free to ask here... I will display settings but keep in mind, this will vary, because my gear is different. The sunlight is never the same and water was hardly moving tonight. .
