[invite] ✨ New Opening Alert ✨ Twisterlicious is bringing chimney cakes (bread baked to be crisp on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside) to London, with their first location in Soho Square. We tried their Twister King (a cinnamon sugar cone with vanilla ice cream and caramel and chocolate sauce) — the dough on this was actually delicious. Reminded me of a churro. It was quite thick to hold all the ice cream, but surprisingly not dry at all. We also tried the Raspberry Kiss (raspberry powder cone with vanilla ice cream) — this one was too tart for me and the soft serve was a tad icy. Good value for money though as these chimneys are HUGE. In terms of improvements, I’d actually love if they introduced some smaller sizes (feels very OTT to appeal to the ‘gram) and improved the packaging so ice cream isn’t dripping out (bit messy to eat on the go). As these guys have just launched, I’m sure they’ll be making improvements along the way — when I sent my feedback, they said these 2 points were being addressed! . . Twisterlicious also has some savoury options — there’s a mac n cheese or sausage one. Last thing to note: you can rent out the Soho Square location for private events (comes with a karaoke room!) and there are more locations to come this year. We’re always telling you how much we love and crave @kurtosshhh ‘s mouthwatering chimney cakes and for those of you who aren’t aware of what a chimney cake is, we’ve got you a quickie! . A chimney cake or Kürtóskalács is a conical spit cake that comes from the land of #Hungary. It’s sweet, crispy and a shiny golden-brown when it comes straight from the baking process. But here’s the interesting part : the team at @kurtosshhh actually flew to the country to learn and re-create the magic! . They added their own touch to it with some desi flavours like Paneer Bhurji, Paneer Tikka, Chicken Tikka and Kheema stuffings. They also experimented with the BBQ Chocolate Chicken which has a cheesy, mix herbed cone filled with barbecue sauce chicken and topped with chocolate sauce .
