Looking back to the past helps me acknowledge change and growth. I don't look back to say "what if" but to say "He was there." There are many things I thought I wanted and if I had settled with what I thought was the best, I'd be missing something greater. You see what we think is the best or the pinochle is still lower than God's plan for us. Our goals, dreams, relationships...if we settle for what we think is the best we can do or the highest level...it's still lower compared to His best for us. ✨ I'm so thankful I didn't end up with what I wanted because I would have missed what God wanted to do in my life. I would have settled for a lower quality when the Lord had a plan to give me the highest quality, something I couldn't see because it's a supernatural intervention. Trust God to not only give you the desires of your heart but to make sure all your needs are met while also providing something so much greater than anything you would settle for. #helloawesomemessages : @jasonl.smith

We need to have faith to believe that if God is allowing us to experience sorrow in some specific areas of our lives even when we are living according to His will, there is always a good reason * * The Bible states in 2 Corinthians 7 that the pain God wants us to have, cause us to change our ways. So, the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There's NO regret for that kind of sorrow. On the other hand, worldly sorrow (which lacks repentance) results in spiritual death ⬅️ this isn’t the kind of sorrow God wants us to have❌ Sorrow isn't pleasurable but the godly sorrow is actually a blessing. 3 ways to grow your faith if you don’t know where to start:⠀ ⠀ 1. Talk to God like you would talk to a friend. Here’s an example: “Hey God. Today I’m feeling icky. I find this person annoying. Go to a welcoming church. If you have someone to go with, grab some coffee on the way and go together.
