Gran Torino It is a work depicting a single old man who has a conservative thought and feels disgusted by the behavior of his family and neighbors. Kowalski, played by Eastwood, lost his beloved wife and was living a lonely life. He will reflect on himself through the encounter with the Asian immigrant Tao who he calls “Yellow” and his family. The medal received while regretting that he killed many young people in the Korean War must be given to his last action. While drawing on issues such as racism and violence occurring everywhere in the United States, I thought that there was a danger of rejecting different cultures and ideas that differ from myself. (It is also a fact that there are people who are totally unacceptable like Tao's cousin in this film.) I thought that Eastwood would be a Democrat in this film, but he seems to be a Republican. It may be a lack of study to simply consider Trump = Racist. It would have been more appreciated if it had been released 10 years after.
