Had to sit out of Sunday dinner thanks to #Whole30, but instead made an ahi tuna steak with homemade mango avocado salsa and sautéed asparagus! Recipe from the @whole30 Fast & Easy cookbook. All ingredients from @traderjoes. This recipe was so literally easy and so refreshingly tasty, I already cannot wait to make it again!

#dEATS brushed the tuna with avocado oil, covered both sides in EBTB seasoning and sautéed 2 minutes on each side (for those that like it rare). For the salsa, I combined diced mangoes, tomatoes, avocado, jalapeños, salt and black pepper.
I used to always think you had to constantly be “doing something” on the weekends to have fun, but I’m starting to appreciate doing nothing quite a lot. I slept in, went for a run (on the treadmill because it was storming like crazy this morning), made brunch, and watched @gatorsfb Orange & Blue game. And laying by the pool (now it’s completely sunny but I stopped questioning Texas weather) with a nice kombucha sounds really nice. Hope everyone has a good weekend! ✨

Went to a boooozy brunch in the city yesterday. I love to go out- bottomless brunch, happy hour with friends, downtown on the weekend. I also enjoy alcohol in a casual setting- at dinner or while hanging in. But is alcohol ‘healthfit’

The short answer is no- alcohol does not have any positive nutritional value & in excess, could do damage to you physically. Does that mean you should never ever consume it

Like I always say, anything that you like, you should have in moderation (& if you don’t like it don’t drink it!). I’m pretty transparent that I can get down with a heavy pour of cab or a few whiskey diets on the weekend. Im not at all an advocate for alcohol- but I’m an advocate for doing what you like in a healthy/safe way. If ya don’t like to drink, don’t!!
