Let’s get real for a moment here. Or maybe it’s more like: spill the tea. ☕️ (Even though this was coffee, I digress) Regardless, Ive found myself inspired to take a moment and reflect on a few things that I’ve been continually floored by in the full year since I started blogging: . For starters, my very first blog post was titled, “The Integrity of Blogging.” And 365 days later, I still mean it. I’m constantly reached out to and offered/sent product. Sometimes I’m offered a LOT of money to shill a silly product. I can’t say enough times that if it’s not high quality, or the company behind something isn’t HIGH quality, it’s not going to show up on this platform. Not every product is perfect but man, do I try. Your TRUST in me is worth more than the dollars that certain retailers can throw at you. (And yes, you’re probably thinking of the same one I am..) . I’m not perfect, nor do I hope that I give the illusion that I am. I want my feed to be real and honest (not contrived or artificial, or gasp! A cookie cutter copy of everyone else) and I’m inspired by ladies like @officiallyquigley that feel the same. . What I’m trying to say is this: if you follow a blogger that makes you feel BAD about yourself, or that you’re trying to “keep up” with, you should probably unfollow. If you feel like you’ve seen the same thing on IG 2847829 times, well they’re probably being asked to shill it out. And if you notice it, we notice it, too. And it feels unauthentic. Because it is. . What you SHOULD do is follow someone who makes you happier, makes you feel good about yourself, and makes you smile.
