Cleavers is one of my Favorite lymph movers! It’s mild enough to use often and strong enough to help get the job done. I use it in a breast cream I make and I can feel the fluid move from the breast! (photo credit goes to @foxandelder ) . . In a formula with lemon balm, and mullein a person could feel a lot of the same relief received with elderberry! . . There are so many names associated with her based on the many uses she employs. Bedstraw, goosegrass, catchweed, stocky willow and many more. A lot of the common names have to do with its ability to stick to you. Her sticky nature makes it a fun herb for kids. . . Due to its sticky nature, it was used often to velcro clothing and it said to be where the man who invented Velcro got the idea. Sieves were made from it to strain liquids, and the name bedstraw comes from it use in making bedding! Galium is a relative coffee and the seeds in combination with chicory have bee used as a substitute. . . Where you see cleavers, there is usually fertile soil. . .
