(edit: all sold, thank you!) Georgia, Ivy, Ruby, Hazel, and Penny. ‍ I've had several questions recently so here are a few details about my dolls. They are about 40cm tall. Their bodies are 100% cotton and stuffed with new polyfil. Faces are embroidered and tinted with crayon and coloured pencils. Their hair is usually 100% wool yarn but some are blends with alpaca, mohair, and/or acrylic. They have jointed limbs that let them sit naturally with support behind them. Their clothes are mostly 100% cotton, except for any lace, knits and footwear. Please note: My dolls are not intended as toys. I like to say that they are for grown-ups who have not outgrown their love of dolls (like me). If you do consider buying one for a child I would not recommend one to children under 9 since these would require thoughtful care. They (particularly the hair) will not withstand frequent handling. The hairstyles are felted and sewn in place and cannot be restyled. The clothing is not removable. ✂️Each doll represents an idea that I playfully run with (a combination of written notes and spontaneity) and are made as a decorative companion for doll lovers. I will post when I have updated my shop. One doll per buyer please(per series), and thank you, as I don't make many and I enjoy spreading the love around. I used to do date/time listing notices but it's just too stressful and I never seem to make the deadline without issues. Meet Rauri (Irish for redhead). I'll be making one-off dolls for a while instead of groups related to a theme. I think it'll suit my temperament better, and my creative style. Big shop updates were what many doll makers were doing when I first started here on Instagram so that's what I did. And put unexpected pressure on myself. This isn't a business for me, not technically, although I appreciate the income very much. I do this because my soul needs to make things and these dolls help me find peace with myself, a healing salve. And this is the year I've truly committed to self-care, so I'm slowing down and going at my own pace in my own way. I'll still be making lots of dolls, that's the point, but without pressure to perform, or whatever. I'm my toughest critic and it's time to let go and enjoy myself - and courageously try new things.
