You will almost give up a lifetime for a person and they will still snap you out of their lives. You will spend almost every waking moment thinking about how to make their lives better and they will still swap you for someone else. And you will begin to question everyone in the process of getting back up. You will start to push others out until that one person will just stand there keeping your back and not saying anything in answer to the million times you tell them that you don’t trust them or that you don’t need them. Yippee. Let’s all dance!! Grand Final Day in Melbourne and its like party time. I’m not even a huge footy tragic, I grew up in NSW, but loving the atmosphere and the whole vibe of Melbourne today, is quite electric!! I am wearing an outfit that feels very ME today! Very casual and very comfortable. Linen soft top flares in Natural colour from @zephyrloungewear and very pretty feminine and soft top from India bought at @treeoflife_love . My very favourite white short booties (that add 2 inches to my height) I’m actually only 5ft 2inches tall, so that extra 2 inches means a lot to me, from @lindy_ontheconcourse and from @theshoecollectiveaus . I am also getting another pair of these boots the same in a yellow/mustard colour, great for summer. My 3-year long journey as a blogger has not been really magical but it does feel like magic now. With any journey, you have to appreciate the highs and take the lows as a learning experience. Through it all, my parents have been a source of inspiration, encouraging me to be my best. When I moved to Bangalore at 21, I was all by myself. After 2 weeks of being in the city, my work accommodation ran out and I had no luck finding a place. I called my father, crying for help and all he said was, “No. You decided you will do this on your own, now do it. I know you can.” I did, and it was a turning point for me. I realised that I am capable, I felt stronger and I acted accordingly. From then, there was no looking back. So to all the young women out there, “Dream Big. And then double it.” - Kevin Malone (The Office) No but seriously, be yourself, work hard and be independent. Rent your own house, pay the bills, fight with the maid, do your taxes. If I can, then anyone can. And if it feels impossible, remember that “Everything is figuroutable.” It’s important to learn and grow everyday and that’s what I am trying to do. ANXIETY IS NORMAL 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Today has been a bit tough. Some days I have more anxiety than usual without reason. Some days I just feel less happy. 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ And that’s OK. I don’t expect myself to be exuding joy in every waking moment, and neither should you. 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ So what did I do? Threw on a skirt, cracked open a bottle of [cheap] wine, and blasted jams to PUMP me up. 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Unhappiness happens, embrace it.
