If you want to create the success you've always dreamed of, then you are going to have to take 100% responsibility for your life as well. That means giving up all your complaining, excuses, victim stories and all your blaming of outside circumstances. ☔️ Excuses can keep you spinning your wheels for years without making any progress and lead you to feelings of dissatisfaction with life or a lack of purpose. To get from where you are in life to where you want to be, you need to avoid making excuses and focus on the tasks that are going to get you there.
Ditching your fearful mindset and separating your emotions while scaling your business means never acting as if you are in survival mode—even during the most challenging times. Do not allow personal matters to influence your business thinking. When you enter the front door of your home, then you can take off your business hat and focus 100% on your family and yourself. ❤️
Many people don’t give themselves permission to be truly successful, because they prefer to play small, within their comfort zone. ☔️ You may feel you have suffered a lack of success, but really if you gave it your all, then you are one step ahead of everyone else who never tried at all. Consider your failure the one needed step before your business becomes a huge success. All failure really is, is learning what is needed to be done differently in order to succeed! ❤️
We to business leaders like Lori Greiner who encourage women to push past stereotype threat!
Stereotype threat is when a person runs the risk of underperforming because fear of a stereotype imposed on their group. This fear elicits self handicapping behavior, often causing the stereotype to become a self fulfilling prophecy.

“I am not the richest, smartest or most talented person in the world. But I succeed because I keep going and going and going.” – Sylvester ‘Sly’ Stallone
I had the privilege to interview Sylvester Stallone for E.P.I.C Annual Meeting and was so moved by his humility and desire to leave the world better than he found it. If you know his full story then you understand why I consider him an epic human being.
His famous face and speech is actually a result of complications during labor. Parts of his chin, lip, and tongue were paralyzed - thus the snarling look and slurred manner of speaking that make him iconic.
When he wrote the Rocky script, he faced more rejection - producers didn't want to take a chance on the script. He didn't give up. Robert Chertoff, who would ultimately produce multiple award-winning films, including Raging Bull, took a chance on Rocky!
However, the studio that accepted the script, United Artists, was adamant in finding an A-list actor to play the role of Rocky Balboa. Needless to say, Stallone detested the idea of someone else starring in a role that he tirelessly created.
Despite their incessant reluctance, the directors eventually signed off on Stallone playing the character of Rocky.
Rocky was given a tiny $1 million budget. They had to make the movie fast. The budget is one of the reasons both Stallone and Carl Weathers (who played Apollo Creed) got injured during a fight scene.
He wrote the script in 3 days and it was filmed in 28 days.
Rocky was the highest-grossing film of 1976 in the United States.
Today, Stallone has a net worth in excess of over $400 million and has appeared in more than 50 films, starring in most of them. “No one likes to fail at anything,” Stallone says “but I believe I’m a better person for it. I learned life’s lessons. You’re given certain gifts and that’s what you should try to be.” What's your favorite 'Sly' story?

What are your thoughts on this quote? "The culture of an institution, I've come to learn, is not just one of the things you manage. It ultimately affects everything that goes on in the institution. You have to understand it, shape it, and talk about it, and you have to lead it." -Lou Gerstner, CEO, IBM (retired) #mondaymotivation #culture #leadership #organizationalculture #IBM #companyculture #instagood #instalike
