11 | long day but a nice thing happened! 15 mins before my school closed, i was so frustrated trying to make this phrase sound the way i wanted, and was about ready to set my bass on fire - right at the end of a phrase, the security guard knocked and told me to a) gtfo, but also b) she’d been listening for a little while but didn’t want to disturb me bc she thought the music was pretty :’) as musicians we’re so critical of our weaknesses and imperfections that sometimes we forget that we have strengths and good moments too!

Solar! I still try to practice the first jazz songs I learned. Sometimes I leave them for a long time, and come back to them after exploring other concepts.
