Feeling very distinguished in my role as visiting professor so I thought I'd dress the part! 🤓 I'm slowly adjusting to solo tuning; the last time I played with solo strings may have been about 6 years ago. I generally don't like them because the tuning wreaks havoc on my ears as I'm pretty sensitive to pitch. Luckily, I've played this concerto long enough that the adjustment isn't proving too torturous. And for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, regular bass strings are GDAE. Solo tuning strings are up one whole step to AEBF# 😲. Yes.
