Hit up Gettysburg with the boys this weekend. They were so well behaved considering we walked around for six hours I also love how much Ryder teaches me to slow down and not get upset about trivial things. . Since a lot of you are new here, I thought I’d take this chance to point out that we coparent our daughter with her other parents. I used to be terrible about doing anything fun while Aubrey was gone. Cody’s been fantastic about helping me cope because realistically, it’s not fair to the rest of us if I don’t get them out to have fun while Aubrey is off having fun with her father and step-mom. Man, I’ll be real - coparenting is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I miss her every second she’s gone. Kudos and cyber hugs to anyone else in the same boat. . People have asked me... how are our youth getting trafficked here in our own country? A complex answer..but here is something I am most passionate about sharing. * Traffickers have been interviewed and share the kind of ( mostly girls) they target. 1. The most vulnerable youth (fosters, at-risk, troubled homes) 2. Children raised in faith-filled homes because they say they are “naive and good at keeping secrets”. So it’s my main goal in this movement to build an army of youth that a trafficker strays away from. Strong, educated, empowered, confident youth that can not be “broken down, manipulated and controlled” . . Parents, teachers, leaders get educated. Talk to your children about sex-REGULARLY. Be a wise advisor in this. Plug into a local nonprofit in your area and understand this global plague with education, watch the horrific documentaries, know what YOU have to do to protect the youth in your life. Knowledge is much more than power in this war, it’s a lifesaver. * Let’s raise a generation of @kailanimkim who know how VALUED, Loved and strong they are...where their outside beauty doesn’t hold a flame to their inner beauty and wisdom.
