My husband said the other day, "So, I was telling someone at work about what you do..."⠀ ⠀ "Uh huh...?"⠀ ⠀ "...And, um. Well, what do you DO?"⠀ ⠀ So if you're my friend and you don't get what I do, or think I stand around in a pink shirt and get paid (I wish), don't feel bad. Even my husband doesn't quite get what I do. ⠀ ⠀ That's because it's not a job anyone else has. I made it up. ⠀ ⠀ Part of what I do is copywriting & copy mentoring for clients. We work together on their copy in real time, in a google doc. Those clients are usually, but not always, "personal brands." Coaches, experts, authors, etc.⠀ ⠀ Some work is still for TV. Those are my roots: TV promos.⠀ ⠀ And then the rest of what I do is: ⠀ a) Teaching and speaking on different aspects of marketing: chiefly, copywriting, content writing, email marketing, and how to get paid to be yourself by weaving your personality all through your brand. ⠀ ⠀ I have an online coaching group called Shrimp Club. They're amazing. Some are copywriters, the rest a mix - including two grant writers and a Czech-food blogger.⠀ ⠀ I co-created and co-teach an incredible copywriting course with my partner Marie Forleo. It's called The Copy Cure. Opens again in May!⠀ ⠀ b) Writing emails to my list. Favorite part of my work. Sometimes it's just a story, sometimes business or writing advice, sometimes I sell the copywriting mini-courses on my site. ⠀ ⠀ c) Selling courses I believe in. In May it'll be MINE, Copy Cure!⠀ ⠀ Right now (ENDS TODAY) it's the publicity course Impacting Millions, created by my friend @selena_soo. She helped me get started landing pieces in places like Business Insider, Forbes, etc. That visibility has helped me attract higher-paying clients, + people to my list who buy the things mentioned above. Passei 1h30min hoje na Santos Andrade e ouvi uma história de amor que renderá carta. Soube dos bichinhos de estimação do casal, da viagem que ele considera que mais marcou a relação, da música que mais gostam e entendi o porquê do desconforto em escrever e, acima de tudo, aprendi um pouco mais sobre relações humanas. Hoje à noite o meu “cliente” receberá a sugestão de carta no e-mail dele. Espero que a esposa goste. O exercício é justamente dar um start no texto, fazer uma sugestão inicial de carta para que quem a encomendou se sinta mais tranquilo na hora de redigir. Eu dei liberdade total ao cliente para que ele adicione ou retire informações do meu texto como bem entender. A ideia é praticar a escrita! Amanhã, meu aniversário, estarei lá novamente. Espero receber como presente a visita de novas histórias. O registro ficou por conta do amigo @pedroaugustofs que passava por ali despretensiosamente.

It could be a first of April joke but it’s not! I finally step into one of my two missing dreams: becoming a copywriter and a storyteller by creating content! So I’m starting this month with my two first clients this week! So much gratitude to those trusting my talent! Very few peoples knows I hold two bachelors degree as librarian and history, so words and tales were my first passion. I put all my heart in this project I always dream of. Even if I will continue to produce TV & Radio content concerning fashion and beauty, this, is my deep soul inside I find here. Hope you found yours.
